My self-summary
I tend to be a happy and excitable "isn't having fun neat?!?" kind of guy. Which doesn't mean I'm a pushover. It just means I tend to choose happiness. I can be serious. But I am kidding or playing most of the time.

I am certainly larger than life. I have enough personality for two people and in the past timid people have found me overwhelming; but working in social services has taught me to reign it in when necessary.

I am loud and I am dramatic. Not in a drama queen way; in a years on stage way. Same reason I'm loud, well that and a loud family. I do try to modulate but it is a part of me. Just like the silly voices and the accents of variable quality.
What I’m doing with my life
** Just published novel number three. It's about super heroes. it's the most mainstream thing I've ever done. http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/326453

I am a driven and ambitious writer and a voracious reader. I write essays, opinions, short stories, books, and comic book and television scripts. My primary areas of interest are Urban Fantasy, and Enlightenment Literature.

I've lived in New Zealand on and off for 15 years; then CA then Mexico, now MI.

I have not watched a sporting event from beginning to end ever in my adult life. Exception: when I knew one of the athletes. I like to be active and play games, but have no desire to watch strangers being active or playing games.

I am a clown and a goofball.
I wear my heart on my sleeve, and my spleen on my raincoat.

I wrote and emceed a BDSM clown show that has been performed in bars and at bachelor parties.

Finished school (9/14/12) to be a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor.

I work at a transitional housing program for the homeless that gets them employment, recovery, and permanent housing.
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
* Update 11/09/13 I just had a straight male friend squee out about how awesome my eyes are, and I've gotten that most my life. So I should mention people like my eyes.

I'm loud and silly. I look like every other guy you know. (If we're going to have a successful revolution, we have to look like them.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am in love with Amy Schumer! I like a woman who can be dirty without being dirty the same way a guy would be.

Movies: love love love movies! Can't put into words how much I love the cinema. A few favorites: Auntie Mame, Fucking Amal (aka Show Me Love). Let the Right One In (Swedish more than US version), Near Dark, Kids in America, Ginger Snaps Trilogy, Hard Candy, Foxfire, Machete, Better than Chocolate, and many many more.
Also a huge fan of zombie movies, grindhouse movies, and good bad horror movies.

Music: most everything from classic rock to hip hop to country to showtunes. Special favorites you might not expect: Kimya Dawson (including collaborations with Moldy Peaches and Antsy Pants), Janis Ian, Ani DiFranco, Tegan and Sara, Regina Spektor, Men They Couldn't Hang, Early GnR, Emerald Rose, Care Bears on Fire and surprisingly The Millionaires and Avril Lavigne!
The six things I could never do without
