   Advanced Linux/UNIX (Slackware, Gentoo, Debian, a BSD variant)

   Older Windows (2000, ME, 9x)

   Do you prefer to "tinker" with your system or do you want everything to "just work" out-of-the-box?

   Give me access to everything so I can make it MY computer

   Some slight tinkering is OK, but I don't want to get too technical

   Sadly, yes

   Yes, I either paid for it myself, it came with my computer, or the license agreement said it's free to distribute

   No, I searched everywhere for a cracked copy or I "borrowed" it from a friend

   Security issues and bugs are handled by a team of highly-trained and highly-paid professional programmers, regardless of the fact that they're working on a budget handed down by CEO's who care only about profits, and are released when the company thinks it's important enough to release the fix

   Security issues and bugs are fixed by hobbyists as well as professional programmers who have full, unfettered access to the source code and test their results frequently and thoroughly before submitting them for release

   Yes - music and movie piracy is an epidemic and should be stopped, regardless of the means

   Hell no! - I bought the CD/DVD and just because others might be distributing it illegally doesn't mean that I am!
