The Wild Edibles Literacy Test

1. Whether or not you dug the _Survivor_ series, learning to identify and use wild edibles is still a time-honored and healthy pastime. Becoming literate in the wild plants that occur in your area connects you to the seasons, to the ecosystems dominant where you live, and--best of all--gets you free food, year-round. This test will measure how much you know about identifying/finding wild edibles (and poisonous look-alikes), and also how much you know about their uses, which are varied and often surprising. The test is somewhat biased toward the eastern US--apologies, but that's the region I know best. I have attempted to incorporate as many "cosmopolitan" or widespread species as possible, however.
