    Urban legends are spread far and wide, particularly now with compelling and/or humorous e-mail, when a story of interesting events (like a cat getting stuck in a garbage disposal) travels halfway around the world before the truth can get it's pants on. But, some of those urban legends have some truth to them, which is why they can be so compelling, you just never know.

    Originally it was thought that the platypus didn't exist, even when presented with a dead one. Today most people haven't heard of the only other monotreme (that I'm aware of) related to the platypus: the echidna pictured here.

    Anyway! Can you tell fact from fiction?
