1. Yesterday. A Week Ago Last Thursday. The Dawn of Time.

   All of these things are gone now, forever out of the reach of humanity, lost to the mists of eternity.

   History lies behind us, untouchable, smirking that obnoxious smirk it has and occasionally making rabbit ears behind our head when we're not looking.

   But what if that weren't true? What if there were some device that would allow humankind to visit its own past? What if there were a way to give History that right hook it so deeply deserves?
