   Every society has systems by which we rank people, creating a hierarchy. This test measures where your position is on the social hierarchy.
   
   Please keep in mind that the categories are completely socially constructed. No individual is inherently better or worse than another. Persons who possess characteristics that society has labeled desirable will be higher in the social hierarchy.
   
   You will be anywhere between -2 and 50 something, but don't pay any attention to the raw score. 1. Social stratification is a trait of society, NOT of individuals (even though this is a “personality test," it will not measure your personality).
   2. All cultures have social stratification, but the criteria for social prestige vary from one society to another.
