2. Welcome to the "Should You Publish" test, aka "Are You a Hack?" As a person who has been in the industry for about 14 years and editor of a handful of lit. mags, I've learned that horrible writers are the most likely to submit writing for publication and will often do it over and over and over and...over (and get angry about rejection). Better writers have a nasty habit of worrying about whether or not they can stand up to their literary heroes, making them less likely to get work out to editors. This test, using the power of my GIANT BRAIN, will give you a clue whether you are a hack or a genius (either way, don't ask me to look at your blog).
