1. It's safe to say that everyone believes things that aren't true (let's avoid the philosophical debate about whether something can actually be true). Sometimes we believe false things simply because our best evidence points to that conclusion. But other times the media distorts things, our friends spread rumors and our text books never bothered to update one of their "facts" that was prooven wrong 50 years ago. Based on reliable specialty sources and modern science, this short little test will evaluate how flimsy your constructed reality is. In other words, do you know urban legend from fact? I should note that although you may not know the correct answers to the questions that I happen to know for a fact, that doesn't mean that you're incapable of sorting fact from fiction; as mentioned earlier, even sources that are seemingly reliable often get the facts wrong. Plus you may know stuff that I don't.
