2. Welcome to the Joshua Test! So back in the day when I was young again, I thought that the only thing that relationships needed was some weird, intangible chemistry. As I got older, I realized that this notion of chemistry usually translated to "Wow, you're hot," and that it made for several boring relationships. In the wisdom of my middle twenties, I now see that successful relationships are based on shared interests and values, and that truly awesome relationships occur when the couple shares the intangibles.
