1. Let's face it, the digital age is here and there's not a lot we can do to stop it. Whether it's AIM, MSN, MySpace or our very own OKcupid, the English language has undergone a few adjustments in the past ten years or so.

    

   Well then, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right? Or, at least, make sure you know what on Earth all those people are saying. So here's the perfect test to help get you started - The Internet/SMS Literacy Test, now complete with answer key at the end of the test!

    

   You're about to go on a whirlwind tour of all those lovely bits of web-speak (and SMS-speak) that have spilled out into everyday use. By the end of this test, you'll find out if you know your STFUs from your GTFOs and gain an understanding of whether that 'LOL' in your friend's message means they actually found something funny. Don't panic if this all seems foreign to you - a low score on this test isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means you're more inclined to write your words in full.
