It's a japanese slang term, origionaly meaning a 'geeky reculive person'. It slowly started to mean a fanatic. So, if you really like Star Trek, in America you're a Trekie, but in Japan you're a Star Treck Otaku. Slowly, as Anime Fever spread to America, the word 'Otaku' took on a new meaning in the states. Now it is used to describe a complete obsesive anime Dork. Like me. So, you don't really like anime? why take this test? So yuo can prove to you're friends you really aren't a geek.
