This is my half-hearted entry for the "music test contest" that's running this week. This short little quiz is based on a variety of music from the 20th century. It leans towards rock music knowledge because that's what I know the most of. I don't mean to imply any disrespect to all the other great genres of music from the past century, whether it be jazz, be-bop, R&B, soul, funk, swing, opera, contemporary classical, or any other form of music (except disco, of course, which deserves to be dissed as much as possible). There was a lot of great music in the 20th century other than rock and roll, but I'm just concentrating on what I know best. I'm still learning about the older types of music. Right now I'm working on my Delta Blues collection mostly, but I'd like to branch out into the older R&B and jazz genres as my time and money will allow. You probably won't get all of the answers right unless you are a music trivia genius or something. Personally, I'm not a music trivia genius either ... I'm just picking ten questions at random that I happen to already know the answers to. If by some strange coincidence you also happen to know some of the answers, then cool. If not, don't feel bad because it's mostly a matter of luck.
I wanted to write a long, detailed test about rock music for this contest but HelloQuizzy has too many bugs and it would take me all week, and probably even longer. So I'm writing a short and simple test with ten basically unrelated questions on it, just to see how their new contest thing works. Do yourself a favor though, and read my disclaimer on the following page. It will clue you in on what's going on here at OKC and it will hopefully save you a lot of valuable time and effort that you might otherwise have wasted.
