The Could You Be Naturalized (US) Test

  1. The Office of Citizenship at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is in the middle of a $6.7 million project to revise the Naturalization Test. The new test is expected to be completed by January of 2007 and put into use by 2008. But what about the current (old) test?

Until the new test is in use, the Naturalization Test is derived from a pool of 100 pre-approved questions about U.S. history and civics. Immigration agents randomly pick 10 questions from this pool to ask the applicant. Would you be able to answer them?

This test contains 30 questions selected from the pool, in random order. You must correctly answer at least 21 (70%) questions to pass. Good luck.
