Hi there. Either you are fond of chess and want to test your knowledge or are unable to properly navigate your web browser. Welcome chess players and inept internet users alike!
Before moving forward, this test is much longer than typical at 50 questions and will probably take at least 30 minutes, longer if you want to give it your all. For any chessplayer, casual or not, this should be rewarding. After feedback since the test's creation, the kinks have been all worked out, so you don't have to worry about frustrating over answers that aren't there.
This test has two variables: chess culture and chess skills. It contains questions on trivia, conceptual knowledge, and problem solving. I've tried to give this test a high ceiling and a very low floor, so most people will have a hard time scoring perfect or getting a score of zero. I've worked to make this test quite thorough as to get a good sample of your chess abilities and knowledge. There will be an extremely high variability of difficulty within the test. This test should catch skill levels within the range from absolute beginner to literally around high expert/master strength. The culture section also has a wide range of difficulty. You may skip any question you like, but realize you will not be penalized for incorrect answers. Guessing is to your advantage. Ready? Kick some ass, Seabass!

To appear on the high score list, message me after scoring as Crazy Bobby Fischer, or any type of Master or Historian. Anyone knowing that much chess deserves mention. Note: Images used in this test were not created by me other than the diagrams, which I used chess software to create and check for accuracy. Did you really think I was talented enough to design that other shit?
