The Classical Music Test

  1. Lots of people say they listen to classical music, but like every other art form, there's a wealth of meaning and knowledge behind the music to which you're listening. Looking at classical music in terms of literature, history and theory, we're going to see if you're the kind of person who says they listen to classical music because it makes you look cultured, or if you're the real deal.

For those of you who are music majors, or happen to know a lot, please note that I'm using the systems with which I am most comfortable. For example, unless otherwise noted, a capital letter denotes major and a lower-case denotes minor (C and c repsectively). The same follows with Roman numerals (I is major, i is minor). Also, chords will be Roman numerals while scale degrees are solfege (moveable do, do-based minor).
