Welcome to Earth.
In all likelihood, if you're reading this, you were descended from apes. If you disagree, well, you're wrong (unless you're an alien, in which case, please write and introduce yourself). However, we homo sapiens have long interpreted individual behaviour by comparing it to that of other animals, and I personally am prepared to class all us folk in terms of whether we are closer "spiritual kin" (yes, those were quotation marks) to our primate forebears, or to another cultured mammal, the famously busy beaver. Furthermore, as we approach the potential post-human age, some of us are leaning toward the future, and abandoning all that mammalian stuff altogether, in favour of the pure automaton methodology.
