The Basic Nuclear Physics Test

  1. This test measures your knowledge on very basic nuclear physics: different decays, electron capture and some basic applications. If you don't remember the order of the elements, you can see it here. The decay charts, should you need them, are availbe here. If you're familiar with the subject, that is all the information you will need.

In this test the elements and isotopes are presented as follows because it's somewhat impossible to use proper notation. FOR EXAMPLE 33, 17, 16 Cl means a chlorine atom with a mass number (A) of 33, a proton number (Z) of 17 and a neutron number (N) of 16.

You get points for correct answers, but loose them if you answer incorrectly or, even worse, if you don't answer at all.

    GOOD LUCK!
