Homonyms & Other Misused Words Test

  1. The 'Homonyms & Other Misused Words Test' will provide an analysis of your true knowledge on the subject. This test will also cover the usage things like "Her and I" vs "Her and me".

Homonyms are two or more words that have the same sound or spelling but differ in meaning.

Homograph: words that share the same spelling, but different pronunciation. (e.g., "bow your head" and "tied in a bow")

Homophone: words that have the same pronunciation, but different spelling. (e.g., "Do the Dew" )

Homonyms go way deeper than that, but that's the basic idea.

Common problem areas in this test also include, but are not limited to: you're/your, to/too/two, who's/whose, their/they're/there, affect/effect, and many, many more.

I'll be using advanced logic, secret formulas, and magic to see if you really know the English language as well as you think you do. Don't worry, though. The test is pretty easy, as long as English is your first language. Good luck!
