What, are you BLIND?! You didn't even notice the gorilla pounding its chest in the middle of the basketball video?! Probably not, most of us don't. In fact, the higher your percentages are, the more you failed to notice. Inattentional blindness and change blindness are well-documented phenomena. And well, it's just plain COOL to play with them.
Hopefully you're eager to go back and look at everything again to find what you missed. I recommmend it! Please read the remainder of this explanation before visiting the URLs.

This test owes a great debt to the Visual Cognition Lab at U Illinois, without which I would've had to make all my own videos!

My idea for the test came from the book
Animals in Translation by Temple Grandin, PhD. Dr. Grandin is an extremely successful scientist and uses the fact that she has autism to enlighten her work. Any of her books are certainly worth checking out. If you pick up Animals in Translation, you might be surprised to find out that your dog would probably do better on the quiz than you did. If only he could read and type!

I should admit that a few of the questions on this quiz were red herrings. Those responses have not effected your score whatsoever. The red herrings included the line with the arrows, the picture of the young/old woman, and the coffee bean man.
Finally, I hope you enjoyed my test and I welcome any comments you might have. Please tell your friends about the test as well--but don't let them in on the secret!!!
