Visitors
Seeing Who Visited Your Profile
A list of your recent visitors appears on your Welcome page. You can see a longer list on the Visitors page.
Browsing Anonymously
If you don’t want OkCupid members to know you visited their profile, you can choose to browse anonymously. Learn more about it on our Privacy help page.
Favorites
View Your Favorites
Favorites appear in your sidebar (under your profile image and your sidebar matches). If you don't see all your Favorites listed, expand the list by clicking “Show offline favorites.”
You can also view all your Favorites on your Favorites page.
Adding Favorites
To add someone to your Favorites list, visit that person’s profile and click the “Save” button in the top right.
Removing Favorites
To remove someone from your Favorites, click the “X” next to their username in the left-hand sidebar.
You can also go to the person’s profile and click the “Remove” button (it’s in exactly the same place “Save” was before you added them).
Lastly, on your Favorites page, you can hover over the person until the “Remove” button appears.
We don’t alert the person if you remove them from your Favorites. It’ll be our little secret!
Notes & Ratings
Rating Other Profiles
There are three ways to rate profiles:
- You can rate potential matches in Quickmatch.
- When you visit a profile, you can give that person a star rating at the top-right, under “Your rating of him/her.”
- On your Favorites page, you can give star ratings to your saved favorites.

Editing A Past Rating
You can adjust any past rating wherever that rating appears: on someone’s profile, on the Notes & Ratings page, and on your Favorites page.
Just hover over their current rating and select a new number of stars to give them.
Making Notes On A Profile
If you want to jot down your thoughts about someone, click the “Notes” button in the upper-right corner of a profile. A box will appear for you to write and save your note.
Your notes for a profile will handily appear in their “About” section.
Notes are private; other people aren’t alerted when you write a note, and no one can ever see your notes.
Edit or Remove Notes From A Profile
To edit a note, go to a profile you’ve written a note about. You should see a square green pencil icon next to your note. Click it to open a box to edit your note.
To remove the note entirely, click the green pencil icon and delete your note. Then click “Save.” The note should disappear from the profile.
View All Notes & Ratings
We have a lovely Notes & Ratings page page where you can view all the profiles you’ve rated and/or made notes on.
From here, you can edit your past notes, add new ones, or re-rate profiles.
